Stephen works at Smoov by day designing things for the web and disguises himself as August Möbius at night photographing the cities he's in. Here is a collection of things found around the world and the internet- mostly in the vein of architecture, infographics, and photography.
Theme variation of Catching Elephant.
Earlier this month I created a mix for designers.mx - you can check it out by clicking the album art. The mix is mostly electro pop with a heavy French influence and I think of it as an homage to all of the summer days filled with convertibles, dance floors, glistening water, rooftops, strobe lights, and yacht trips. The mix is also available here.
The mix art is a composite of a couple of shots from downtown Seattle, including this shot.
My favorite records from 2011 mostly based on iTunes/Last.fm listening data.
BBDLP1 takes the cake with 408 plays for the most played record. My least listened to records from 2011 were Chromeo’s Business Casual, The Raveonettes’ Raven In The Grave, and Ladytron’s Gravity the Seducer.
There were so many great electronic releases this month that I decided to make an alternate mix for November made up of electronic / IDM tracks. Turn your subwoofer up.
Here’s the track list:

Radiohead by Weird Magic (Erez Avissar)
Big Black Delta released their debut LP today and is making it available for free to download for the next week. The music is epic. The artwork is epic. It’s pretty much an epic journey through space circa 1984 filtered through a Commodore 64. You can also see the video for Betamax and buy sweet merch from the BBD site. All of the artwork is by Caspar over at Version Industries.
